The Value and Meaning of Young People’s Engagement with Heritage

Representatives from Ignite Yorkshire took part in research by Institute for Community Research & Development (ICRD) at Wolverhampton University, co-ordinated by Arts Connect and commissioned by Historic England which is a study into The Value and Meaning of Young People’s Engagement with Heritage.

Marie Millward and Rosi Lister from IVE and Sally Clifford from North Yorkshire Youth were part of the Expert Reference Group and both IVE and North Yorkshire Youth co-ordinated activities with young people for the research fieldwork.

Young people from Bright Sparks also took part in a Young People’s Showcase  held in Birmingham in October 2022, including Bright Spark Eden Sedman chairing the event.

At the time of writing (November 2022) the final report from the fieldwork is in preparation. Follow the progress of the research at the ICRD website.
