IGNITED! A celebration of young people, place and heritage

Tuesday 11th October 2022  4pm-7.30pm

Book your free place on Eventbrite.

We will be showing off our insights and creativity from work with over 3000 young people who made 60 Yorkshire projects happen and where we supported practitioner teams to try innovative ways of connecting and creating with young people. This ground-breaking work from last five years has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund Kick the Dust programme.

During the evening there will be a round table discussion plus a chance to meet the partners, practitioners and young people. Prepare to be astounded, inspired and delighted by the amazing creativity and stories from Ignite Yorkshire. There will then follow a youth-curated social with Sable Radio.

It’ll be fun, informal and we hope you’ll leave inspired, informed and ignited by what can happen if we put young people at the fore and connect with their ideas, passion and fresh thinking around place and heritage.

You will gain lots from this event if you are

– A participant in Ignite Yorkshire.

– A practitioner working in heritage, arts and culture or youth work.

– Exploring how you or your organisation can support diverse cultural activity involving young people and how to make it happen.

– On a journey to involve young people or youth voice in your work at all levels from outreach to governance.

– Interested in diversifying routes for young people into employment and training in the heritage sector.

The venue is fully accessible, please let us know when you register your place if you have any access or dietary requirements. This replaces the originally scheduled event on 11th Sept 2022.

We would love to see you there!
