Ignite Yorkshire Branding Collaboration with Cactus Crew

From February 2019, Ignite Yorkshire collaborated with Shipley youth group, Cactus Crew, to help us develop our brand. Over three sessions the Crew worked with the designer Lee Goater to explore Ignite’s branding, its mission and what it should represent for them and other young people. The young creatives oversaw all stages of the brand development, from commissioning a designer to final edits. Together they co-produced designs and logos now used across the project.

To celebrate our official brand launch in June, the Cactus Crew and their families joined us for a special event at the National Coal Mining Museum. Here members also got the opportunity to present their work to NCMME’s Young Volunteers.

Cactus Crew continue to meet regularly and held their first festival in Shipley in 2020.
